We are calling on you to help us identify nominees for the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award. Many outstanding citizens or Asheville and surrounding areas have contributed to our community through their leadership skills and compassion. The annual award is an opportunity to acknowledge their work and honor them as role models in our civic life.
The 2015 King Award winner will be honored during the Candlelight Service at Nazareth First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive on Sunday, Jan. 11. All nominees and the 2075 award winner will be recognized at the 36th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Asheville.
Please download an Adult Nomination Form (and feel free to pass them on to colleagues and friends). We want to recognize all who deserve recognition.
Thank you for your help and continuing support of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Association and our work in the community. For more information, please call Oralene Simmons, Chairperson, at 828-335-6896 or email us at email@example.com.
We look forward to receiving your nomination(s) no later than December 1, 2016.
